Leonardo Hotel East Midlands Airport

No criticisms about anything. Slightly exceeds expectations. Comfortable, great nights sleep. But the service and attitude of the staff was brilliant and so refreshing after a terrible nightmare of a ryanair flight. Reception on arrival with the Night Supervisor was great and checkout was friendly and efficient. The breakfast attendee George was particularly attentive, welcoming, cheerful and effective and made my morning.

We stayed for one night before flying early next morning... the room was brilliant, large, clean and with everything you need. We had a lovely bar meal which was delicious and a very good size portion served by excellent staff. A warm welcome from reception made this an excellent stay. When we left the hotel with our bag for the flight we were through security within 15 minutes from leaving the hotel so it's location is perfect! (We were able to check our hold luggage in the night before too )

Stayed at the hotel leonardo on 19th january 2026 prior to my flight out to tenerife. Lovely room, clean and spacious. Plenty of tea and coffee in the room to. Clean and spotless bathroom to. Friendly staff to. Will be staying again on 22nd March prior to my flight to Majorca. i also stayed in March 2025 prior to a flight to join a cruise. Warm welcome from the front of house team. Clean spacious rooms immaculately clean. Every member of staff we encountered from the front of house team, to the housekeepers, to the bar staff were friendly, approachable & couldn’t do enough for you. Would highly recommend this hotel. Particular shoutout to Annemarie who went above and beyond to help me when I was in need, you made our stay particularly excellent!

The online check in meant that my room key was ready and there was no delay. Emily was extremely helpful and carried my heavy suitcase up the stairs for me. It was wonderful to have a really comfortable bed and hot bath after a long day of travelling. I was surprised at how quiet the hotel is considering it just a short walk to the airport.

January 2026. Stopped the night before an early flight. Excellent location a few minutes walk ( 5 mins) to Departures. We had a meal in the bar, good menu, hotel prices, very good food, it arrived quickly, even though it was busy, excellent All round. We had a slight issue trying to get the heater to work, bit it was resolved quickly and efficiently. It was our first time in a Leonardo Hotel, but we were so impressed that we have booked our sons who will be staying at the end of the month and ourselves again in March. Definitely Reccomended.

Super convenient location if using the airport! The bus stop is across the street from the petrol station so it's a very easy walk to the hotel. I booked this room for one and they gave me a large room! One double bed and one single, which is a fab setup for a family or small group of pals to share. My friends and I have used this room setup in the past and it works really well. Front desk very nice and quick to get you booked in. They also offered information about the restaurant, and if I would like a table booked. Room: linens and towels- always crisp clean and soft! Bathroom: clean, signs of wear and tear. Could probably use a refurb. Room 116 shower head could use a descale treatment, water is jetting off in all sorts of directions! But it gets the job done and isn’t scary! Great pressure and water temps! A big one for me (and you’d be surprise how many don’t), the plug drains perfectly! Tea and coffee facilities in the room. Note: Both my times here, I find some of the staff in the bar area avoid eye contact and don’t approach customers sat waiting at tables! I had to go up to the bar to order drinks and food, even tho I was told someone would come to the table to take my order. Prices are moderate. Food is good. I haven’t eaten in the actual restaurant, my understanding is it’s open after 6pm and you do need to book a table. I may try it next time I stay. This hotel is well ran and has everything you need! Really good value and a superb location. It is my goto airport hotel when required!

I stayed at the hotel on Saturday 29th November, and honestly, it far exceeded anything I expected. I normally drive to East Midlands Airport and just pay to park, but after this stay, I’m officially converted — it’s worth every penny to stay here instead. I’ve worked in hotels on and off for years, and I’ve never had an experience this good. Hari on the front desk was outstanding. Not because he was just polite, but because he was genuinely exceptional — welcoming, professional, and even finishing up something for the guest ahead of me while still explaining everything clearly. The pool was heated to perfection (rare these days!) and the male changing rooms were spotless — cleaner than the exclusive gym I pay for, which says everything. I stayed in Room 22, an accessible room. I’m not in a wheelchair, but with two sports injuries I’m trying to be kinder to myself. The room was immaculately cleaned — I can normally score a room to 97% on my own standards, but this room was faultless. Surfaces spotless, bed impeccable, toilet and tiles shining, and the duvets were heavy and high quality. I even checked thoroughly because I couldn’t believe a room could actually be that clean. And whoever chose that Fig & Sandalwood body and hair product for the reception area deserves an award — I nearly took it home and I’m now on the hunt for it. To every member of staff, from the young woman at the Spa Area to the engineers and the entire service team: thank you. I get anxious in new places, and you've all created a stay that was calm, welcoming, and absolutely five-star in every sense. Highly recommend. I’ll be staying again.
